This government program ensures the availability of health insurance to everyone, including those with pre-existing conditions. The ACA market provides APTC (Advanced Premium Tax Credit) for those who qualify that lowers the monthly premiums for health insurance to very affordable levels, so that anyone with income above the federal poverty level can afford health insurance.
